Admirers of this beach resort like the "large", "beautiful" oceanfront rooms with "spacious" balconies and "contemporary" design, as well as the "easy access to the ocean" and the "helpful" staff; some respondents also recommend the Tree Top lounge and restaurant, given the "slow" room service, but others bemoan "the price of eating on-site" and dis the "small", "crowded" outdoor pool.

It Was A Home Away From Home Feeling With Extras!
I read a lot of complaints about the parking, but I actually did not have a problem with it.
A very nice place for vacation. I really cannot think of any negative experience about Avista. I would definitely visit again.

Handicap accessibility with roll in shower and closeness to elevator and the very friendly staff.
Parking limited for handicap.

Dirty pool area and cloudy pools.
Room was clean and decent size, though outdated decor with some noticeable wear and tear. Balcony and side view of ocean was nice. pool areas were filthy and pools cloudy! We would not use them. Very clean, easy access to ocean and pool beautiful view, romantic atmosphere.
Parking was a little cramped while unloading luggage.
We were very pleased and pleasantly surprised how big and spacious the bedrooms and living space were. The staff was very helpful if we needed anything. Will stay with them again for sure.
